ACTRESS takes center stage in the BLACK-EYED SUSAN – MAY 19th
Maiden Actress clinched narrowly the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico Race Course after a sudden and intense rainstorm turned the track to slop. Actress is owned by Gary & Mary West, trained by Jason Servis and was ridden to victory by jockey Nik Juarez.

ABLE TASMAN scores the upset from off the pace – MAY 5th
Abel Tasman reigns supreme at the 2017 Longines Kentucky Oaks, Churchill Downs. The $1 million race teamed jockey Mike Smith along with now three time Kentuck Oaks winning trainer Bob Baffert.

COLONIAL DOWNS SURRENDERS RACING LICENSE:
The owner of Colonial Downs in Virginia surrendered the track’s racing license on October 14th at a meeting of the Virginia Racing Commission and said the track and its seven off-track betting parlors would close as of Nov. 1. The Daily Racing Form has the scoop @ www.drf.com
