OTP to partner with JOCKEYS AND JEANS for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund

The third JOCKEYS AND JEANS fundraiser for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund is Feb. 28 at GULFSTREAM PARK. Hall of Fame riders Bill Boland, Walter Blum, Chris McCarron, Sandy Hawley, Don Pierce, Edgar Prado, Jose Santos, Robert Ussery, Jacinto Vasquez, and Jorge Velasquez will join the others to honor injured fellow riders. The PDJF helps support over 60 former riders who had catastrophic on-track injures.

Horse racing cartoonist A.E. SABO, artist of the original series OFF THE PACE, has created the souvenir event poster and is a major partner at this event.

OFF THE PACE to sponsor RTCA event at BREEDERS’ CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

The A.E. SABO STUDIO – home of OFF THE PACE is now a sponsor of the 2015 WHITE HORSE AWARDS! The White Horse Award is presented annually at Race Track Chaplaincy of America’s (RTCA) White Horse Award Luncheon to an individual who has done something heroic on behalf of human or horse.

Established in 2003, the event has been held the day before Breeders’ Cup weekend at whichever racetrack has been selected to host The Breeders’ Cup World Championships. 

This year’s 13th Annual White Horse Awards will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Lexington, KY

The A.E. SABO STUDIO was also very honored to create the official 2015 WHITE HORSE AWARDS invitation.

RACE TRACK CHAPLAINCY OF AMERICA at The 2015 BREEDERS’ CUP

The White Horse Award is presented by the Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) to an individual who has done something heroic on behalf of human or horse. It is the RTCA’s way of recognizing those unsung heroes of horse racing, whether their actions are of a headline-grabbing, or the quiet and not-so-obvious, kind of heroism. Established in 2003, it is presented at the Annual White Horse Awards Luncheon, held the day before Breeders’ Cup weekend. This year it will be held in Lexington, Kentucky as KEENLAND is host of The Breeders’ Cup World Championships 2015.

This year’s artwork was created by cartoonist A.E. SABO, creator of OFF THE PACE—The Horse Racing Cartoon.

Same could be said about their cartoonist—‘When is A.E. Sabo gonna make a bloody move?’

Well, A.E. in fact did make a move: the new A.E. SABO STUDIO – home of OFF THE PACE has finally settled in a distinct corner of a historic downtown not far from Florida’s TAMPA BAY DOWNS.

And while web-fans question TEAM DIVA’s whereabouts, their new studio is creating cartoons for charities at work in the industry: JOCKEYS AND JEANS at THE INDIANA GRAND RACING CASINO and THE RACE TRACK CHAPLAINCY OF AMERICA’s WHITE HORSE AWARDS, profile pieces for clients such as THE JOCKEY CLUB, AMERICA’S BEST RACING and TEAM DIVA’s regular feature in the international feel-good racing publication GALLOP MAGAZINE!

So keep straining to see our heroes coming from behind—new TEAM DIVA cartoons will return again soon, fast and funny and always just short of the wire!
