The Aqueduct winter meet begins today, December 12th and will continue until March 28th, 2021. Under current New York state guidelines, Aqueduct will operate without spectators in attendance until further notice. America’s Best Racing launched its second-annual ”America’s Best Racing Fan Choice Awards” in partnership with the Secretariat Vox Populi Award. The 2020 Fan Choice Awards are open for online voting on AmericasBestRacing.net. Winners of all 10 award categories will be announced on ABR’s website and social media channels on Thursday, Dec. 3.

SA on a high note
Santa Anita Park concluded the Autumn meet as the safest racetrack in the nation, without a single racing or training fatality since the horses returned from Del Mar on Sept. 5.
1,106 horses raced over the dirt track and turf course. Additionally, horses recorded over 51,200 training sessions, including 3,771 timed workouts over the main track and 487 over the training track.
The main dirt track has not had a racing fatality in 2020, including the 2019-20 Winter/Spring meet which began in December.
