Royal Delta and Fort Laurned headline Churchill Stakes

Two-time champion Royal Delta faces four to defend her Fleur de Lis Handicap crown this Saturday at Churchill Downs. It will be her first start after a disappointing finish in the $10 million Dubai World Cup. In the Stephen Foster Handicap, Fort Laurned, the 2012 Breeders Cup Classic winner, will work against a tough field of six to regain his dominance in the sport after his disappointing 2013 start at Gulfstream Park in March, where he stumbled, unseating jockey Brian Hernandez, and proceeded to race the track without a rider. Golden Ticket, Ron the Greek, Pool Play, Take Charge Indy and Successful Dan will also make their bids for the Foster’s 500K purse.

145th Belmont Stakes
